Tko šta posjeduje u svjetu ljepote?

Jeste li znali da L'Oreal posjeduje Lancome, Shu Uemura i Body Shop? I da Estee Lauder posjeduje 29 marki uključujući MAC i Clinique?

U našem brzom svijetu, robne marke i ljepotne brzo mijenjaju vlasništvo i uglavnom završavaju u rukama nekoliko velikih korporacija.

Žitarice (jeste li znali da okreću šećer u krvotoku?), Prirodni zaslađivači poput meda i agave nektara i plodovi visokih šećera poput banane i manga uzrokuju glikaciju.

Neki od najgorih prijestupnika su:

Pečena kokošja koža (9.897 AGE)
Kruta i pržena pileća prsa (8.750 AGE)
Pečeni odrezak s maslinovim uljem (9.502 AGE)
Slanina pržen bez ulja (11.905 AGE)
McDonalds Big Mac (7,801 AGE)
Naučeno je: meso i prženje ne idu dobro zajedno. Ne, ako ipak želite zadržati kožu mladu. 🙁

Voće i zelenje i sve sirove stvari jedva imaju bilo kakve AGE. Učinite ih velikim dijelom svoje prehrane, koristite metode kuhanja s niskom toplinom kad god je to moguće i, svaki put, uživajte u prženoj gozbi, ako si ju priuštite.

4. VODAAAA

The best of VICHY

French skincare brings it back to basics. It gives your skin only what it truly needs – no unnecessary bells and whistles. Some may go as far as to call it boring in comparison – but boring and basic is just what the doctor ordered for sensitive skin.
And if your skin’s sensitive or you’d like to treat it with some gentler loving care, one of the first brands I’d turn to is Vichy. So, here they are, the best skincare products from Vichy (in my humble opinion):
You can see more on Vichy Slovenija  or Vichy Hrvatska !
Best of Vichy

LIFTACTIV VITAMIN C SKIN BRIGHTENING SKIN CORRECTOR

Who else has a love/hate relationship with vitamin C? It’s an antiaging superstar that fights free radicals, boosts collagen and brighten skin but the pure form (L-Ascorbic Acid) irritates sensitive skin and goes bad quickly (who can finish a whole bottle before it goes brown?!). LiftActiv Vitamin C Brightening Skin Corrector has the perfect solution: it still use L-Ascorbic Acid BUT in a lower dose even sensitive skin can tolerate. Plus, the bottle only contains 10ml of product so you CAN actually finish it before it goes bad. Finally!
Available at: Dermstore and Feel Unique

MINERAL 89 FORTIFYING & HYDRATING DAILY SKIN BOOSTER

Mineral 89 Fortifying & Hydrating Daily Skin Booster is a basic hyaluronic acid serum for sensitive skin (but everyone else can use it too 🙂 ). Hyaluronic acid is a moisture magnet: it attracts water from the environment and drops it into your skin, bringing up its hydration level a notch… or 10. It’s so powerful it can bind up to 1000 times its weight in water! I dare your skin to feel dry after that!

PURIFYING PORE MINERAL MASK

Forget the “purifying pore” nonsense brands love to use (seriously, what does that even mean?!). Purifying Pore Mineral Mask is a clay mask that absorbs excess oil from oily skin. Once the extra oil is out of the picture, your skin looks matte – just like it should. Plus, the excess oil can’t get stuck in the pores and cause breakouts. I don’t believe that masks are a must in a skincare routine but if you have oily skin, a clay mask a couple of times a week can certainly help keep your skin clear and shine-free.

CAPITAL SOLEIL SPF 60 SOFT SHEER SUNSCREEN LOTION

I admit I’m partial to mineral sunscreens because they’re gentler on the skin but if you prefer synthetic ones, Capital Soleil SPF 60 Soft Sheer Sunscreen is a great option to try. One: it provides excellent broad spectrum protection. Two: it’s fragrance-free. Three: it has a creamy, lotion-like texture that applies like a dream and doesn’t feel heavy on the skin. And did I mention no white cast?
.

PURETE THERMALE 3-IN-1 ONE-STEP CLEANSER

Purete Thermale 3-in-1 One-Step Cleanser has no detergents. So how does it cleanse the skin? Mineral oil. I know that’s not what a lot of you want to hear but there’s nothing wrong with mineral oil. It may be derived from petroleum but it’s been highly purified to remove all impurities so it won’t harm the skin. Instead, what it does is to attach to the oils in your makeup and sunscreen so they can rinsed away. Plus, it leaves skin very soft. It’s great for both dry and sensitive skin – for oily skin, not so much (it’s too rich).

Best regards,
your Lady

NEW K-BEAUTY TREND: HANDS, FEET, BODY& LIP MASKS. DO YOU NEED THEM?

Who said that masks are only for the face?

After putting sheet masks firmly back into our skincare routine, we have come out with a new wave of masks for every part of your body.
blato iz mrtvega morja
Hydrating masks for the hands? Check.
Peeling masks for the feet? Check.
Soothing patches for the lips? Check.
The Dead Sea mud mask for body brought them on online shop MONNA witch is for now only in Slovenia. The mask is very good, after aplication you can feel it how it's working on your body .
Oh K! brought them all on our shores. Of course, I had to give them a go. Are they so good they need to become part of your skincare routine or are they just another (cute) fad?
Let’s find out!

VIOLET FLOWER HAND MASK

Hidden inside the Violet Flower Hand Mask pack are a pair of gloves soaked in a moisturising essence. You need to wear them for 10-15 minutes, so I put them on before going to sleep, slipped into bed and turned my Kindle on (I tried reading a real book with the gloves on but it was a struggle to turn the page!).
If books ain’t your thing, watch your fave TV show instead. You won’t be able to use your hands for the next few minutes so find a way to keep yourself entertained while your gloves work their magic.
In case you’re wondering, wearing the mask is a bit weird. It’s like putting your hands in a bowl of hand cream without taking the time to rub it in. Yet, the essence is so lightweight, it doesn’t feel slimy or greasy.
When I finally take the gloves off, there’s still quite a lot of essence on my hands, so I rub them together to help them absorb it.
I have to confess my hands were in a pretty bad state. Now the weather’s turning chilly, I can feel my hands getting tighter and drier. Having so many boiling hot showers doesn’t help either, I guess.
When I saw alcohol so high on the ingredient list, I thought “Oh boy, is this going to crack my hands?” (There’s a reason why I don’t use hand sanitisers…).
Nope. Turns out, the hydrating effects of the mask completely neutralise its drying potential. It’s full of humectants, such as Glycerin and Butylene Glycol, that draw moisture from the environment into the skin to parch its thirst and keep it well-hydrated for hours.
Within fifteen minutes, the treatment transformed my dry hands. Now, they were all soft and smooth again.
And the scent! It’s like being in the middle of a violet field. Pretty. Dainty. Feminine.
I’m so stocking up on this!

PEELING FOOT MASK

I don’t know about you, but I struggle to keep my feet soft and smooth. Most of the time, they’re hidden under layers of thick socks (London ain’t the warmest place on the planet) and I forget to give them the TLC they deserve.
Until they get all dry and cracked. But, by then, the damage is a pain to fix. Could a Peeling Foot Mask be the answer to all my sorry feet woes? There was only one way to find out. Put them on.
Peeling foot masks look like plastic boots. You (carefully!) pour the exfoliating liquid in them, pop your feet in and tie them around your ankles. Then, you sit and wait for 1-1.5 hours. Yes, I said hours. It takes time to exfoliate your feet.
I prepared for this. I went to the toilet, grabbed some snacks and sat down with a good book (you can watch a movie, play with your computer, whatever) so that I wouldn’t have to get up and leave my bedroom with those ugly things on.
Still, it was all in vain. I forgot my phone on the other side of the room. Of course, Mr BWB had to choose that very moment to call me! It was a short walk but a very weird one. I could feel the liquid sloshing around my feet (at least, it didn’t feel cold).
The heroes here are Alpha Hydroxy Acids (AHAs), or to be precise, Lactic Acid and Glycolic AcidThey work by dissolving the glue that holds skin cells together so they can naturally slough off, revealing the brighter, smoother and softer skin that was hiding underneath.
But, not straight away! You won’t start peeling as soon as you remove the boots. In fact, NOTHING happens for up to three days.
It was only on the 4th day, when I had forgotten all about the mask and was planning to buy a new pair of shoes, that I saw a big chunk of skin coming off my feet. I’m not gonna lie, it was GROSS.
But, where that chunk had peeled off, my skin looked so soft and smooth! It was also a lot brighter than the dull skin on the rest of my feet, which hadn’t exfoliated yet.
You’re not supposed to give it a helping hand and manually peel off your skin even when you can see it’s almost ready to come off, which is so frustrating! Your skin doesn’t peel off in one go so for the next 3-4 days, your gonna shed some skin randomly here and there.
It’s not the kind of stuff you want other people to see, so all shoe shopping is off for the week. You also can’t do this the day before going on holiday or your feet will start shedding at the beach. Ewww!
Do it 10/14 days before you leave for your holidays, are getting married, need to show your feet to the world (for whatever reason).
One more thing: the liquid completely covers your sole, but barely reach the top of your feet. The mask is great to remove hard and rough patches of skin from the bottom of your feet quickly, but it’ll take a lot longer to exfoliate the top. 🙂

CHERRY GEL LIP MASK

This was the mask I was most looking forward to try. I mean, who wouldn’t be excited to put a giant pair of fake lips on? Oh, K-beauty is so much fun!
Sadly, it did NOTHING for me. NOTHING.
I guess it’s totally possible that I used it the wrong way, even though I followed the instructions to a T and they were hardly rocket science:
  1. Remove lip mask from tray and apply lip patch to clean lips.
  2. Leave the mask on for 10-20 minutes.
  3. Remove the mask and gently massage any residue into lips. No need to rinse.
The first problem was getting it onto the lips. I had to lay down or they kept falling off my lips. Not the most practical thing in the world but I get it… gravity.
The second problem? I didn’t think the mask was doing anything. It felt like I had a huge piece of gelatine on my lips. It was a little cool, a little slimy but that’s about it.
When I finally took off the mask, there was no residue to massage into the lips. My lips weren’t that much softer. As I said, I didn’t see any improvement whasoever.
Maybe I got a very old mask by mistake? (You can tell I really wanted to like this, can’t you? *sighs* ).
I’d leave the lip mask on the shelf but the hand and foot masks are cute pampering treatments for when you need to give some extra loving care to these hardworking helpers.

What I didn’t like:
– if your feet are very dry, you’ll see the results after 3 or 4 days of use

Now that’s summer almost over and my feet are always on show, I need to make sure they are always in good condition, which is no easy feat for me. The skin on my feet is dry and I like to go around barefoot when I can, which doesn’t really help. Even though I take good care of them in summer, I still get dry patches every now and then. So, when the lovely people at Monna asked me if I wanted to try their Foot Cream, I instantly said yes. Their products have always worked well for me so far and I was curious to see if this moisturizer would help my feet. So, how did it perform?
The cream has a thick consistency but it doesn’t feel heavy on the skin, so it’s suitable for summer and winter too. It spreads easily on the skin, sinks in quickly and doesn’t leave a greasy residue behind. But how well does it work? I had a lot  dry patches on my feet, mainly on my heels and, after the first application, the effects of the cream were noticeable. Yes, they felt softer,.  By the second day, all my dry patches were gone. My feet are soft and smooth and the moisturizing effects of the cream last for the entire day.
The Foot Cream works even better when paired with the glycerin loofah piling or Monna scrub ( sugar or salt) . They both make my feet noticeably softer, keeping them in good condition, and have the same herbal, peppermint-based scent, which is uplifting and divine! It is also quite strong but it doesn’t bother me because the scent smells really good and I don’t really smell my feet during the day anyway.
This product is available on website Monna.si!

This week star COCONUT OIL

Olive oil will always be my favourite oil for cooking (you’re not a real Italian if you don’t use it for everything in the kitchen), but these days, for beauty purposes, I much prefer coconut oil. Although it is not quite the miracle worker many claim it is, it’s one of the most beneficial oils out there. For hair, it’s actually the best.
Before I explain why, let me clarify one thing. When I talk of coconut oil, I mean virgin coconut oil. That’s the type scientists have been studying. Other types probably work similarly, but if you want the full proven benefits of coconut oil, opt for virgin coconut oil.
Now, what’s so good about it?

COCONUT OIL IS A WONDERFUL EMOLLIENT

www.monna.si

Coconut oil s high in saturated fat content. Ok, maybe this wasn’t the best way to start. Isn’t fat always bad? Well, not really. It’s this fat that gives coconut oil its emollient properties. Studies have shown that it is as good as mineral oil at moisturizing skin (although it turns rancid faster). It is also very gentle, which is why it is widely used in products for babies and toddlers.

COCONUT OIL HAS UV PROTECTION PROPERTIES (BUT DON’T USE IT AS SUNSCREEN!)

Coconut oil is being touted as a natural alternative to commercial sunscreens because of its supposed ability to protect skin from UV rays. There is a kernel of truth in this. Coconut oil has some sun protection properties, but only minimal.
A 2010 study has shown that coconut oil has a SPF… of 7! That’s a lot lower than the minimum level of protection recommended by dermatologists, which is 15. So, while coconut oil may help boost the protection properties of your sunscreen, it certainly is no substitute for it, and should never be used as such.

COCONUT OIL AND ACNE

Coconuts contain between 45-48% Lauric Acid, a fatty acid that has antibacterial properties. A 2009 study has shown that it can kill propionibacterium acne, the bacteria that causes acne.
Does that mean that coconut oil can treat acne? Not so fast. One of its components can, which is not the same thing at all. Coconut oil itself may help, it may not. Further studies need to be carried out before we can say for certain that it is an effective treatment for acne.
We do know, however, that coconut oil is classified as comedogenic. While this doesn’t mean it will clog pores and cause breakouts as soon as it touches your skin, if you have oily skin that’s prone to blemishes, coconut oil may make things worse.

COCONUT OIL IS THE BEST HAIR OIL EVER

Enough about skin. What does coconut oil do for hair? A lot. Unlike most oils, coconut oil can penetrate inside the hair shaft, conditioning and nourishing hair from within. It makes it stronger, shinier, and protects it from hydral fatigue.
Hydral fatigue, due to swelling and contraction of the hair during the uptake and loss of water, can damage hair. Coconut oil, by reducing swelling of the hair shaft when wet, limits the damage. That’s why it makes such a great pre-wash treatment. Plus, it also reduce damage while combing.

DOES COCONUT OIL HAS ANY SIDE EFFECTS?

I’ve already mentioned how coconut oil can clog pores and causes breakouts in some people. In others, coconut oil can cause allergies. This is very rare, but can occur. If you experience any negative side effect, discontinue its use immediately.

THE BOTTOM LINE

Although coconut oil can’t be used as sunscreen, and it’s unclear how well (if at all) it works for acne, it is one of the best, most effective, and gentler moisturizers for skin and hair.
Do you use coconut oil? I use it from my favourite natural store with cosmetics MONNA.

BLACK SOAP CHARCHOAL

Hey MY DEARS,
how is going? Are you feeling creative this days?. YES!? Then Let me show you how can you make your own soap. You can make it by yourself and use it how you want. You can give it to your  friends like a gift or your family-it's nice and made from yourown  hands thats why  it is special. Why it's this soap great- it's very good for skin with acne because of charchoal and if you use base soap with goat milk - that my dears will help your skin to be smooth. SOO LETS GOOOO ! :)

 For this soap we need:

- pot
- mug and a spun
- charchoal
- soap mold ( on EBAY you have tons of it)
- soap base without sls or soap baze with goat milk

                                                    (Picture from:  Gracefruit webside)

- essential  oil ( your favorite one)
- 99 % ISOPROPYIL ALCOHOL

All the ingredients can be found on Gracefruit Limited and their distributors in EU or Soapqueen in US. Here in Slovenia is TOVARNA ORGANIKA. For other countries I'm not sure but I belive that are a lot of trades for this.
Now before we begin please concentrate and enjoy beacause this is why we are doing this.

So depends how much soap you wanna make 100 g or 1 kg- it' doesn-t matter you cut the wanted amount of base soap into the mug. In the pot put whater and wait for the vapour. Then put the mug inside and wait the base to melt. Then put inside the mug in base somecharcgoal ( for 1 soap about 5 to 10g it's recomended but you can put it more if you want). While is melting slowly stir.
Take the mug from the pot and put 3 drops of your essential oil ( i have sweet orange) for one soap of 100g it is enough but you can put  more if you want to smel real strong.

Preper your models and then  spray it with alcohol.
Now you can put the melted soap in the models and wait to dry. After cuple minutes you can take it slowly from the models. YOU SEE IT IS NOT HARD!!!

YES YOU DID IT! YOUR OWN SOAP IT'S READY FOR USE. This is how mine looks:

PS:  I f you want that your soap has more peeling effect you can put inside some cinament or acai.

Hope I helt you and give you some idea for you.

See you soon your Lady!!!
